Banana Bread

Let’s bake a classic Banana Bread that’s moist, flavorful, and easy to make. This recipe is perfect and convenient for using up overripe bananas and filling your kitchen with a delicious, comforting, and appetizing aroma.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste; 1/2 cup for less sweetness)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • Optional: 1/2 cup walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven and Prep Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash Bananas:
    • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until completely smooth.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients:
    • Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
    • Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract, mixing well to combine.
  4. Add Dry Ingredients:
    • Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
    • Add the sugar, and stir until well incorporated.
    • Gradually add the flour, mixing until the batter is just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Optional Add-ins:
    • If you’re using walnuts or chocolate chips, gently fold them into the batter now.
  6. Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
    • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the bread is browning too quickly, you can cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
  7. Cool:
    • Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Recipes Clan hopes that you enjoyed your homemade Banana Bread as a delightful breakfast, a snack, or even as dessert. It’s wonderfully versatile and even more delicious when served with a smear of butter or a drizzle of honey.
